hmm. this is definitely a predicament of sorts. I've been out of school for just a little over a month as of right now...I go back in a little less than a month and a half...and I have done close to nothing academic or scholarly with my time. which is bad, being an honors/AP student. bad bad bad. I desperately need to start my three summer reading books for English, take notes on said books, practice my Spanish for Spanish 4...which means AP Spanish next year...exercise a little more than usual so maybe my mile time for gym can improve this year, and then find some way to study a little math. last year, we got packets and worksheets to practice over the summer with concepts that we'd used in Algebra 1 and would be using again in Algebra 2 after a whole year of Geometry. this year...I have no idea what we're doing in math due to the lack of handouts! somebody shoot me!
okay, okay. in reality, it's not that bad. I'm just feeling particularly lazy and don't have any motivation to get jumping on any of this. my Spanish is sort of improving on its own by listening to Spanish music and then watching the show La Fea Más Bella...which is pretty great, by the way. but those books? math? exercise? I need to get cracking.
oh. it's raining. pouring, even. just what I need! I actually like the rain...it's soothing...even though it turns my hair into an absolute nightmare. well, that's what hoodies and umbrellas are for, ne?

hello there, livejournal! I gave up on xanga multiple times and decided to come back crawling desperately to you.
feel loved and adored, lj o'mine.
I think I'm gonna make a promise to myself for real this time...and actually blog on here. it would be a miracle if I actually kept up with it. I remember having a xanga when I was about thirteen, and later canceling it because my entries became really pointless, and nobody read them anyway! I got this livejournal account (I had another one at thirteen or something too, I think, but deleted that one) at maybe fourteen or fifteen, and never really blogged on it...I still have it and mainly use it to watch communities. I got a wordpress blog about this time last year, and wrote a few entries and then ended up canceling that, too...I guess I have commitment issues! this time, I'm going to put an honest effort into actually keeping my lj alive. I don't quite know how well that's going to carry itself out, but I'm willing to try.
eh, it's not like anybody really reads my crap anyway, so I suppose I'm just doing this for myself. how selfish of me! eh. I think I could stand to be a little more selfish, as strange as it sounds.
